Come with us to see two of the most beautiful Hawaiian beaches and see why shooting our online catalog is becoming a real adventure!
We want the viewer to get a feel for the vibe of the Big Island of Hawaii. So we hit some of the most famous beaches here on the island. Plus, who doesn't want to have an excuse to work at the beach?
Below is a list of some of the beautiful Hawaii beaches we used in the shoot and a little behind-the-scenes look at our process.

First, we hit Hapuna Beach voted 2021's number-one beach in America. A gorgeous long stretch of white sand and a great boogie-boarding beach!
Hapuna Beach is located on the Kohala Coast, near Kailua-Kona, on the island's west side. It is the definition of a beautiful Hawaiian beach. One of the best beaches for swimming, with its mild waves and warm water year-round.

Rocky and many others will tell you this IS the best beach in all of the Hawaiian islands and I have to agree!
Next was Punalu'u - known for its Hawaiian sea turtles sunbathing on the beautiful deep black sand, located in the southern part of the Big Island.
This is also near Volcanos National Park in the Kau district. A great place to stop if going to the Volcanos National Park, especially if coming from Kona.

Last, but certainly not least, Pohoiki Beach - the newest beach on the Big Island.
This beach was created from the 2018 massive lava flow.
The Big Island is known for creating, beautiful black sand beaches with the active volcano flow coming from the very active Kilauea volcano.
This beach is located about an hour's drive south of Hilo in the Puna district. The drive to this beach is one of the most scenic on the island. This is my favorite district on the island.

This beach literally grows every day as new sand is churned up from the lava flow.
When we came back to the island in 2019 it was one bay of sand. It has now grown to 4 large bays of gorgeous soft very black sand and still growing. A great spot to watch daredevil locals surf.
The wave and current here can be extremely strong, and not for the faint of heart!
We feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place and will post more tips on these beautiful Hawaii beaches and free-spirited fun.
If you're here for a week or a month both beaches are a must-see! We encourage you to check out other beaches and both Kona and Hilo, two of the most vibrant towns on the island.
If you are in Hilo on Wednesdays pop by the Hilo Farmers Market and say Aloha! You can see our current schedule of pop-ups on our home page here
